For her daughter's wedding, Jo Kheir entrusted Collezione Santina Couture to create a bespoke Mother of the Bride gown that was anything but ordinary. Crafted from an exquisite bronze and imperial purple shot fine dupion silk, this custom couture design features sculptural asymmetrical hand draping, a beautifully structured silhouette, a refined side front split, and our signature pinstitched fan detail, adding an unexpected architectural element with understated drama. The gown is embellished entirely by hand in the Collezione Santina Couture atelier using archived Swarovski® crystals, bugle beads and seed beads, meticulously applied in directional clusters to enhance the movement and sculptural draping of the design. As a creative herself, Jo's brief was beautifully clear: luxury, comfort and elegance with a subtle nod to restrained creativity—making a statement without shouting. The result is a gown that is both refined and unforgettable. Created using over 5 metres of luxurious silk, thousands of individually hand-applied beads, countless couture techniques, multiple fittings and more than 45 hours of craftsmanship, this design is a celebration of true Australian couture, handcrafted in our Sydney atelier.
